Florian Besthorn appointed to become new PSS director
Florian Besthorn to succeed Felix Meyer in mid-2022

The Board of Trustees of the Paul Sacher Foundation have appointed Florian Henri Besthorn to succeed Felix Meyer as its new director, beginning in July 2022.
Born in 1984, this Munich-based musicologist will thus draw on earlier phases of his life and work. He already held a scholarship at the Foundation in 2011-12 while researching his master’s thesis on Hans Werner Henze, and he earned his doctorate at Basel University with a dissertation on Jörg Widmann.
Over the next few months he will give up his current research projects in Munich and Berlin in order to devote himself to his new assignment with the Foundation’s staff members.
